Power Wheels Drag Racing Rules

2025 National Drag Racing Rules

Stock Class- Full Tree

Factory setup, 6v or 12v. Remote control is allowed! We have kids as young as 3 months racing with the remote-control setups! Remote control cars will race other remote cars. NO MODIFICATIONS TO MOTORS OR GEARBOXES.

Helmet Required

Traction on the tires is okay , rubber or foam

Modified Class (Drill Battery) – Full Tree

  • A power-wheel equipped with an 18v/20v drill battery.
  • Must have a kill switch installed that the driver can hit with there hand.
  • 100+amp circuit breaker required.
  • Wheelie bars & neck brace recommended but not required.
  • Vehicles with First Gears Deleted must have a mechanical brake system approved by the race director.

Long Sleeves & Gloves Required

Bracket class - Full Tree with Dial in

Any “ stock” or “modified” vehicles can race in the bracket class as long as they fit the rules for that class.

Outlaw  Class (24v+) – PRO Tree

  • 24 volts or more.
  • Must retain a power-wheel gear box.
  • NO brushless electric or gas engines.
  • Must have a kill switch installed that the driver can hit with their hand.
  • 100+amp circuit breaker required.
  • Must have 10 gauge or thicker wire
  • Must have a heavy duty solenoid, or an electronic speed controller.
  • Must have a mechanical brake system approved by the race director.

Experience Required

Neck Brace/Hanz Device Required

Long Sleeves & Gloves Required

Experience Required.  If You’re Exceeding 28 MPH, a Roll Cage, 5 Point Harness, Window Net & “Lift Off” Style Brake (Linear Actuator) is Required.

OUTLAW WILL ONLY BE RAN AT EVENTS THAT PROVIDE PLENTY OF SHUTDOWN SPACE
